From around 1997 to 2003, we marketed a very popular Check Printing software that allowed merchants, collection agencies, Landlords, and many others to take checks by phone, fax or over the Internet in accordance with changes initiated by the American Banking Association, the only thing this software lacked was the ability to check or validate bank routing numbers.

During this time, we fielded many many requests to incorporate a method of validating ABA Routing Numbers to capture errors before the check was deposited.

In the year 2000, we developed a utility that analyzed  bank routing numbers to see if it fit the algorithm used in generating them.

This bank routing number validation utility was designed more of an adjunct to the check printing software provided at that time.

You can imagine how much this small utility saved our clients in returned checks due to bank routing number errors. However, we no longer provide it as a stand alone software program, but rather, now offer it within our Membership area for those who require simple validation. And better yet, it’s FREE. All you need to do is sign up.

Of course, it didn’t stop there. Many of our clients wanted us to expand this program to compare the bank routing numbers to a database complete with ACH Financial Institution and contact information.

In 2001, we finished developing a utility program called “ABA Routing Checker Pro”, a stand-alone software program which contained a built in, database of ABA Routing Numbers, complete with Bank Names and Bank Addresses and their contact information.

Subsequently, we began receiving many requests for just the routing numbers database, apart from the software, which has since evolved into what we offer today, our membership driven ABA Routing Number Validation utilities from simple algorithm checker to retrieving a missing check digit, full US Bank Routing Number Retrieval Tool to complete US Bank Routing Number Database Downloads in various formats for you to use within your own in-house projects.

Although we don’t sell our stand-alone software any longer, we still offer bank routing numbers database updates to our many users.
