Problem: Routing Number Not In Database:
-
We provide only ACH Routing Numbers Lists. There are many routing numbers not included because they do not fall within the ACH category. If you are looking for a general list of ABA Routing Numbers, then this is the wrong place.
-
ABA Routing Numbers are always in a state of flux, and being merged or retired continuously. Our updates are performed bi-monthly [ or more often is necessary]. Because our clients need to download the ABA Numbers and re-upload them into thier own system, it is usually labor intensive to do this. So, an aba routing number may not be resident because it appeared between updates.
-
The Number you claim as missing may be merged or retired. We don’t include retired numbers or numbers merged with other ones. We provide only the current information we have on file at the time we release our database. Merged and/or retired routing numbers do not fit within the scope of what the majority of our clients need.
Problem: File Not Updated:
From time to time, we get inquiries that the routing number list [ or database ] was downloaded, but the version and total don’t match what is displayed on the website.
This is generally caused by the current file, not overwriting the old one, or, it is saving the new file in a different directory, and when the user goes to access it, are actually accessing the old one instead. So, please ensure the following before and during the download process….
-
When you click on the download link, and select “Save”, make sure it goes into the same folder as your previous version, thereby overwriting it.
-
Before you save the routing number list, locate your old file and delete it. If you still have the problem, then it could be due to additional files existing elsewhere in your computer. If that is the case, then you will have to do a general full computer search of the file [ including its extension - mdb, sql, txt ] and delete all that appear. Then, download a fresh file into the appropriate folder.
These are a few of the more common problems that our clients contact us about, and which are easily resolved. If your issue is not included here, please contact us via our support system at http://www.routingchecker.com/support and open a support ticket.
